DTH Hammers

High-frequency power, sized for your hole
The DK Hammer Series spans 2″ to 24″, delivering high-frequency, premium-alloy performance for mining, construction, water well, quarrying and exploration drilling. Every hammer shares the same core design, differing only in scale, so there’s a Drill King hammer matched to your hole size, ground conditions and compressor output.

DTH Hammer Products

DTH Air Hammers

2" – 24"

High-frequency hammers for fast penetration in hard rock, from compact water well and geotechnical tools to large-diameter blast hole and foundation hammers.

DTH Water Hammers

3" – 8"

Powered by water instead of air for precise, deep holes in sensitive geology and urban or underground environments, with low noise and dust.

DTH RC Air Hammers

Reverse circulation

Reverse-circulation hammers for exploration drilling. Cuttings travel up through the centre of the drill string, delivering clean, uncontaminated geological samples to the surface.

Why Drill King?

Maximum Productivity

High-frequency design delivers the fastest penetration rates in the industry across every hammer size, reducing time on site and operating costs.

Reduced Maintenance Costs

A streamlined, simple design makes maintenance easy and uses Eco Kits, keeping your equipment in the field and out of the shop.

Unmatched Durability

Premium alloys and advanced wear-resistance treatment let our hammers withstand the harshest geological conditions at any bore diameter.

Seamless Integration

Compatible with industry-standard bit shanks (IR, DHD, QL and SD) across the size range for easy integration into your existing fleet.

Industry Applications

Construction

The power to penetrate challenging ground for building foundations, bridges and infrastructure, where strength and stability are essential.

Mining & Quarrying

Heavy-duty hammers that drill through hard rock with outstanding durability and efficiency in the toughest production conditions.

Exploration

Efficient cuttings removal for clean, accurate sampling, so every hole delivers the data you need for informed decisions.

Oil & Gas

Durability and consistent torque to punch through variable rock, helping crews reach depth faster with fewer trips out of the hole.

Geothermal

From residential loop fields to large-scale installations, precise and efficient boreholes on the first pass.

FAQ

What's the difference between air, water and RC hammers?
Air hammers are powered by compressed air and cover most drilling applications. Water hammers are powered by water, making them suited to precision and deep holes, sensitive geologies, and urban or underground work where low noise and dust matter. RC (reverse-circulation) air hammers are used in exploration, where cuttings return through the drill string so clean geological samples can be collected.
Hammer size is selected based on your target hole diameter, ground conditions and compressor capacity. Each hammer size drills a range of hole diameters slightly larger than its nominal size. For example, a 6″ hammer typically runs bits from roughly 6¾” to 8″. Our team can confirm the right size and shank configuration for your rig and application.
Smaller hammers (2″ to 5″) are typically used for water well, geotechnical and blast hole drilling where hole diameters and rig air capacity are limited. Mid-range hammers (6″ to 12″) cover most mining, quarrying and foundation work. Large-diameter hammers (15″ to 24″) are built for high-volume production drilling, large-diameter blast holes, and heavy foundation or shaft applications.

Yes. The DK Hammer Series is engineered for industry-standard shank configurations including IR, DHD, QL and SD, so the hammers integrate into most existing drill fleets without costly modification. Browse matching DTH bits.

Yes. Selected models across the DK Hammer Series are available in Heavy-Duty (HD) configurations, with enhanced wear resistance for high-abrasion ground conditions and demanding production environments.
